Within Guy and Jules Sebastian’s ultra-contemporary new home build, the kitchen is a true showstopper. Grand in scale and boasting architectural appeal, an atrium floods the multi-level space with natural daylight, dramatically highlighting the stunning centrepiece of their kitchen: a vast island bench.

Fabricated and installed by FORM-RITE in Rugged Concrete by Caesarstone®, the island benchtop is the ultimate entertainer, measuring in at 5.6m long and featuring a U-shaped overhang that wraps around both ends, seating up to 12 people.

Selected for its raw industrial edge, Rugged Concrete is a durable engineered stone with grey textural patterns, and a rough matte surface that perfectly complements the matte Supa Black cabinetry surrounding it by Freedom Kitchens. Designed for maximum impact, the benchtop has been finished with a bold 100mm mitred edge.

The premium materials used for their benchtop have been matched with high-end appliances, including an integrated Vario gas cooktop range by Gaggenau. In keeping with the sleek aesthetics, the downdraft ventilation is hidden, but rises elegantly out of the benchtop at the touch of a button.  A deep Oliveri sink with Franke tapware have also been incorporated into the island benchtop, along with plenty of storage underneath.

Other standout features of this kitchen include a large wine fridge, a dry-aged meat fridge, and a hidden butler’s pantry. Within the butler’s, FORM-RITE installed a splashback and benchtops using Caesarstone® in Noble Grey, putting a premium finish to the perfect area for food prep and clean-up.

An inspired example of multifunctional open plan living, this stunning entertainer kitchen will undoubtedly serve as a place for the Sebastian family to enjoy creating special memories for many years to come.
